The IMF lowered its growth forecasts for the Turkish economy.
In the Global Economic Outlook report announced by the organization today, the 2021 growth forecast for the Turkish economy has been reduced to 5.8% from 6.0% in the 2021 April outlook report. According to the report, the 2022 growth forecast for Turkey has been reduced to 3.3% from the level announced as 3.5% in April.
It was also stated that the general fiscal balance in Turkey is expected to have a deficit of 5.9% this year.
