Derya Yanık, Minister of Family and Social Services, stated that within the scope of the Total Closure Social Assistance Program, cash aid amounting to 1,100 TL has begun to be delivered to those in need in their homes.

The ministry’s statement is as follows:

Minister Yanık stated that a support payment of 1,100 TL has been completed to approximately 1.2 million households in need, who have a bank account or use PTT Card in their e-Government applications.

Minister Yanik: “Until Ramadan Feast, our Loyalty Social Support Groups will deliver support payments to more than 820,000 needy households in their homes. Thus, we will be supporting more than 2 million households in total within the scope of the Total Shutdown Social Assistance Program.” said.

Stating that they are making an effort not to leave any needy households alone during the process, Minister Yanık underlined that aid is being delivered effectively and quickly.

Full Closure Social Assistance program payments are made for households that are considered to be in periodic need due to the epidemic and without any application. Aid Program entitlement status can be checked through the e-Government portal, in the section titled “Ask Social Assistance” of the Ministry of Family and Social Services.
