ISTANBUL, 17 March (Reuters) – Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA) passed a ceiling application in fuel prices for two months.

According to the written statement made by EMRA, the fuel sales ceiling price will be determined by the institution on a provincial basis. According to the prices that will come into effect as of tonight, there will be a decrease of 17-20 cents in prices.

EMRA President Mustafa Yılmaz, “Our government has done its part with the mobile system, but unfortunately some companies abused this practice with profit games. As a result of our investigations, we made the right decision for our consumers and our industry.” said.

EMRA had previously applied ceiling prices three times in 2009, 2014 and 2015.
