ANKARA, 2 March (Reuters) – Details of the tariff quotas for some food products import from Azerbaijan have been determined. Customs duty and, if any, additional financial obligations will be applied to imports to be made within the framework of the tariff quota.
According to today’s issue of the Official Gazette Located decision President, tariff quotas applicable to the importation of certain products to be imported from Azerbaijan in accordance with the preferential trade agreement between Turkey and Azerbaijan as follows:
100,000 tons for some cheese varieties, 39,000 tons for some fruit varieties, 300 tons for black tea, 5,000 tons for sunflower seed oil, 2,500 tons for some animal and vegetable oils, 5,000 tons for sugar and sugar products, cocoa and cocoa preparations. 1,250 tons, 750 tons for canned vegetables and fruits, 3,000 tons for various fruit purees, 2,000 tons for apple juice and 9,000 hl for wine.
The distribution method and application principles of the tariff quotas were arranged by the Ministry of Commerce in the current issue of the Official Gazette.
In quota distribution; Meat and Dairy Authority, Soil Products Office, Oil Seeds Agricultural Sales Cooperatives Union, Turkey Sugar Factories Inc. and Turkey’s Agricultural Credit Cooperatives allocation priority.
