While the retail price of 97 of the 242 products included in the Istanbul Wage Earning Index of ITO increased, the prices of 31 products fell.

Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (ITO), in order to ensure the transparency of the markets and inform the public, announced the products with the highest and decreasing retail prices, prices and exchange rates in Istanbul last January.

While the retail price of 97 of the 242 products included in the Istanbul Wage Earning Index of ITO increased, the prices of 31 products fell, and the prices of 114 products remained unchanged.

Cucumber Price Increased by 42.22 Percent in February

In February, Cucumber, which is in the Food Expenditures Fresh Dried Vegetables and Fruits sub group, was the product with the highest increase in price with 42.22 percent.

Other products with an increase in prices were green peppers with 26.17 percent from the same group, medicines with 19.98 percent from the Health Expenditures group, zucchini with 18.02 percent from the Food Expenditures group, and lemon with 16.10 percent.

Cauliflower Reduced 11.97 Percent

In February 2021, Cauliflower, which is in the sub-group of Food Expenditures of Fresh Dried Vegetables and Fruits, decreased by -11.97 percent and became the product whose price decreased the most.

Other products with a decrease in prices are green onions with -11.94 percent from the same group; In the Household Goods Expenditure group, combi boiler with -8.51 percent; In the Food Expenditure group, it was curly salad with -5.88 percent and potatoes with -4.88 percent.
